Cellar Keeper Sprint Skill Guide
Move faster between racks when the cellar stretches longer than your patience.
Sprint is a movement skill in Cellar Keeper’s Cozy Mode that increases your walking speed through the underground cellar. Unlike search skills that help you find bottles, Sprint helps you traverse distance — valuable when Batch Grab fills a ten-bottle carry destined for a wing three rooms away.
Player reports note that Sprint and Jump differ from the other five skills: they focus on mobility rather than sorting logic, and cooldown behaviour may feel different in practice. Verify exact controls and duration in-game after each upgrade.
What Sprint does
Activate Sprint (default binding listed in Keyboard and Mouse or Controller) to move faster for a short window. Each of the five upgrade levels typically extends duration, reduces cooldown, or increases speed multiplier — exact numbers are in skill tooltips.
Sprint does not:
- Highlight bottles (Spot Matches).
- Pull bottles remotely (Batch Grab).
- Sort your carry list (Quick Order).
- Place bottles automatically (Auto Place).
Where Sprint sits on the priority list
On the Skills Tier List, Sprint is mid to late priority:
- Essential first: Batch Grab, Spot Matches.
- Strong midgame: Quick Order, Target Hint.
- Movement: Sprint (and Jump for vertical sections).
- Late luxury: Auto Place.
Chinese and English community guides alike recommend Sprint after carry and search skills scale — a larger carry is useless if you dread the walk.
When Sprint pays off most
- Long diagonal crosses between cellar wings after a Batch Grab sweep.
- Returning from a completed shelf to the next chaos pile.
- Hardcore Mode runs where time pressure comes from breakage anxiety, not a timer — faster movement means fewer risky pivots with full carries.
Sprint helps less when you are already standing in the target pile — do not upgrade it before Spot Matches if you still cannot find bottles nearby.
Hardcore and breakage caution
In Hardcore Mode, faster movement through narrow aisles can increase collision risk with bottles on the floor. Sprint is not a reason to ignore careful navigation — shattered bottles may force painful recovery.
Speedrun Mode absence
Speedrun Mode disables Sprint along with all other upgrades. Speedrun routing must assume baseline walk speed — another reason to memorise efficient paths in Cozy before No Shortcuts.
Peak Efficiency requirement
Peak Efficiency requires every skill maxed, Sprint included. Do not skip movement skills even if you feel the cellar is “small enough” — the achievement checks purchases, not feelings.
Budget remaining points from finishing small shelves near late-game wings.
Cooldown refresh tip
Optional: relaunching Cellar Keeper refreshes skill cooldowns without resetting progress. Useful when chaining Sprint between distant Batch Grab destinations.

Sprint does not make you a better organizer — it makes being a good organizer less tedious. Level it when the walk hurts more than the sort.
Sprint and Batch Grab timing
The highest-value Sprint windows happen after Batch Grab fills your carry list. Sprint empty-handed across the cellar and you only save vanity seconds. Sprint with ten bottles destined for one wing and you convert movement time into shelf completion time. Pair with Target Hint on unfamiliar wings so you do not sprint confidently toward the wrong cabinet.
Controller rumble and stamina
Long Cozy sessions on controller may feel less precise for shelf clicks than mouse placement. Sprint does not fix precision — it only shrinks transit. If you miss slots repeatedly, slow down regardless of Sprint level.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Should I upgrade Sprint before Spot Matches?
No. Search and pickup skills first. Sprint is mid to late priority on the [Skills Tier List](/skills/tier-list/).
Does Sprint have a cooldown?
Player reports treat Sprint and Jump differently from sorting skills, but verify behaviour in-game after each upgrade.
Is Sprint available in Speedrun Mode?
No. Speedrun disables all Cozy upgrades.
Do I need Sprint for Peak Efficiency?
Yes. All seven skills must be maxed, including Sprint.
